On episode three of Cooking for Kids in Quarantine chef David Rice of Kinsale Gourmet Academy at Ballinacurra House is showing you how to make a simple gnocchi with pancetta and peas!

Ingredients serves 2

250 g potato gnocchi

100g diced pancetta

50 g peas

100g white vegetable sauce ( check previous recipes)

25 g grated cheese.

Method.

Cook the gnocchi in boiling water according to the packet instructions. In a frying pan crisp up the pancetta for 2 minutes. Drain the gnocchi and add the frying pan followed by the peas and then finally add in the vegetable sauce.

Toss everything together and sprinkle over the grated cheese and then place the pan under a hot grill to brown the cheese. Then serve.
